Starting a Meeting From Your Dashboard
When it’s time to teach, your Dashboard gives you two ways to launch into a meeting: the Up Next banner at the top of the page, and the meeting on your schedule. Both go to the same place.
Before You Start
- A lesson should be assigned before you start the meeting. If no lesson is assigned yet, see Assigning a Lesson to an Upcoming Meeting first.
Launching From the Up Next Banner
-
Open your Dashboard. Click Dashboard in the left navigation.
-
Find the Up Next banner. It sits at the top of the page and shows your next meeting.
-
Click Start Lesson. The meeting opens with the assigned lesson loaded.
If the banner shows Assign Lesson instead, no lesson has been picked yet. Click it to assign one, then come back to start.
Launching From Your Schedule
-
Find the meeting on your schedule that you want to start.
-
Click the meeting block. A menu opens with the meeting’s actions. (Clicking the lesson name on the right side of the meeting block instead opens the lesson in the Curriculum library - it does not start the meeting.)
-
Click Join Meeting. The meeting starts.
The menu also includes other actions like Group Details, Change Status, Assign Lesson, and Edit Meeting. Join Meeting only appears for meetings that are upcoming or in progress; for past meetings, you’ll see Change Status and the Did this meeting occur? Confirm prompt on the meeting itself instead.
